For the three readers who’ve gotten used to the rhthyms of Newvine Growing, you’ve noticed that I often do shorter posts during the week and a longer, more in depth piece on the weekend.
I had one ready to go Saturday but we’re having some Internet connectivity issues at home. Time Warner’s customer service was outstanding — patient, clear, almost no wait time. I wish I could say the same for Belkin, which manufactured our wireless router. They don’t even offer weekend tech support. Please call back Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.
Because who would possibly have an issue with a consumer-grade wireless router on a weekend or evening?
I see Time Warner offers a free wireless router now as part of its Internet package. Based on my experience this weekend, maybe I’ll make the switch.
I’ll get my weekend post up later this week. Also coming up: I’ve scheduled the second part of my interview with Ben Jaffe, creative director of Preservation Hall Jazz Band. I also have a story coming from someone who hit rock bottom as an alcoholic and transformed his life after quitting drinking, as well as the journey of one transgender person. Hope you’ll stay tuned.
